"Wednesday night 'Fresh Encounters' has been a blessing to me. I love that our goal as a body is to come and seek God’s face (His face represents His majesty and Glory), and in turn benefit from His hands (which represents His help). Preparation and approach to prayer are crucial. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says 'if my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.' I am learning that I must humble myself as I kneel before the Lord in prayer, putting off hope in myself and wholly relying on God. God said to Solomon “pray and seek my face.” When we set out to pray and seek God’s face we will be humbled before the Lord. As we humble ourselves before God and seek His face our lives will be radically changed." - Pastor Dave
