The Bible provides the assurance that you can be in Heaven someday with God and with His people forever. Consider Jesus' words to an already moral and religious man: "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3).
The Damage Done by Sin - We are all sinners because we have broken God's law (James 2:10; 1 John 3:4). We need to be reconciled to the One who we offended. Our sins have separated us from God, placing us under the penalty of sin, which is eternal death in hell.
The Helplessness of Man - No human effort alone could ever atone for our sin. Good works, baptism, church membership, communion, or anything like these things cannot affect a new birth. We are saved only by receiving God's grace, through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, who alone is "the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6).
The Good News from God - Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again! It is faith in the finished work of Jesus that is the only basis for our soul's salvation. The scripture teaches us that "without shedding of blood is no remission" of sins (Hebrews 9:22). Salvation is Jesus Christ, and to be saved is to receive Him by faith (John 1:12). Upon what are you depending at this very moment to secure your eternity with God? The Scripture says, "now is the day of salvation" (II Corinthians 6:2). You are urged to turn to God, placing your full trust in Him right now. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13).
